"After talking to residents living under the bridge, they want to have decent housing. Not to be rained on and not to be flooded. Moreover, if they live under the bridge, of course, diseases are very susceptible to attacking them," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta Government's press release.

After that, they visited the Petak Habitat Ancol Flats which are not far from the location, precisely on Jalan Tongkol 10. He checked the flat facilities, which now have two towers out of the nine planned.

"I also instructed to ensure the capacity of the flats can accommodate how many residents. Is it possible for those who live under the toll road, some also live under the bridge," he continued.

One of the residents, Sumawiti admitted that she was happy and hopeful.

"Happy because he (Mr. Governor) cares about us, not necessarily other people will care about us who live under a roof like this. Hopefully, the solution is the best for us here.
